Phoenix Park and Dublin Zoo
In Dublin you can be close to the city centre and still take in some nature by visiting the Phoenix Park. This urban park located on the Northside of the river Liffey is one of the largest public parks in an European city. Not only can you get a glimpse of the outside of the house of the president of Ireland in this park but you’ll also see some of the fallow deer that roam freely. The Guinness Storehouse
You can’t come to Dublin without having a pint of the black stuff and the best place is probably the Guinness Storehouse where you can also learn about the history, the making and the marketing of the most famous stout in the world.

Temple Bar
The Temple Bar district is more popular with tourists than locals but still nice to tick off the bucket list. You can soak up some culture at the Project Arts Centre, the Irish Film Institute or the Temple Bar Gallery and studios. Alternatively you can try the crazy nightlife at the weekend as Temple Bar is a popular destination for stag and hen parties.
Croke Park / Skywalk
Croke Park is a GAA stadium which has been part of Irish sporting life fore more than a hundred years. Besides attending a match of Gaelic football you can actually get a tour of the stadium and its museum or do something a little different by joining their skyline tour.

The Woollen Mills – lunch at Ha’Penny Bridge
The Woollen Mills is a good address to enjoy modern Irish food in the heart of the city. Open all day from breakfast to dinner, it features many great Irish food producers on the menu. It’s also located right next to the most iconic bridge of Dublin, the Ha’Penny Brdige.

Little Museum of Dublin
We love the little museum of Dublin, an interesting and quirky place just next to St Stephen’s Green Park, where you can learn a lot about the city and Irish culture. You can only visit by guided tour to learn about the history of the collection and plenty of interesting pieces of information about the Irish capital.

National Museum
The National Museum of Ireland on Kildare street focuses on national archeology. Its extensive collections feature prehistorical Ireland, early medieval Celtic metalwork and pieces from the Bronze Age. A fascinating place of any archaeology lover.

Kilmainham Gaol
Kilmainham Gaol opened in 1796 as the new county prison for Dublin and closed in 1924. It held famous political and military leaders like Robert Emmett, the leaders of the 1916 rising and Eamon de Valera. The prison can only be visited by guided tours.

Howth Head
Escape the city and drive or take a DART to Howth, a lovely fishing village north of Dublin. Dust of the cobwebs with a long walk around Howth Head and enjoy beautiful views of Dublin Bay. Make sure to enjoy some fresh seafood afterwards!
